JEANETTE WINTERSON - Prima di partire per New York, dove trascorrerĂ le vacanze di Natale (e bbeata lei!), Jeanette Winterson regala ai lettori un breve racconto che rivisita una vecchia leggenda natalizia (I suppouse), intitolato "The Mistletoe Bride", disponibile da oggi sul suo sito.
Nel suo editoriale di dicembre Jeanette si augura un futuro di Pace, costruito partendo da noi, dalle piccole cose, dai rapporti umani che abbiamo intessuto e nutrito con chi ci sta accanto. Il Mondo potrà cambiare se saremo noi a farlo. Questa ha certamente tutta l'aria di essere una frase retorica, trita e ritrita, ma, che ci piaccia o no, è l'unca buona che abbiamo per sperare in un domani migliore, fatto di Pace, rispetto e tolleranza, in un futuro prossimo di integrazione culturale e religiosa."If you come back into the site around the 20th, you'll find a new short story especially for Christmas. As the year ends, let's do what we can to make the world a better place. We can all do something, however small, and that's our gift. It may mean helping a neighbour or a stranger. It may mean giving money or time to a charity. You'll know what it is, because there is always an inner prompt; the voice we often muffle because it isn't convenient.
Miracles are never convenient that's part of the message of Christmas.
